Got some issues backing up one of our Linux boxes running RH4. Installed RALUS on the server and configured RALUS.cfg. In the backup exec selection the server shows up under 'Favorite Resources>Linux/Unix Servers'

Can do a 'connect as' ok as root, authenticates no problem. Now here come the problems...

1. When I expand the root level of the tree there's a long delay before it shows up all the directories under root ?? When I say long it's like 10 mins or so. Surely it should populate the directories straight away should it not ????

2. Last night I selected 2 directories - home & etc, within the current job I have running every night. For some reason those selections never backed up. Just backed up what was previously selected.... our windows boxes.

3. This morning I ran a seperate job just for the linux server. This worked, however it only backed up the etc directory. In the job log was this error..

" Failed to read extended attributes and ACLs for /. Please review file system mount options to enable support for extended attributes and ACLs. "

What does this mean ?

Thanks

BTW - Im using Backup Exec 11d and it's sat on a Win 2003 server.
