Issue with the Application or Permission ??

Hi All:

WE have a computer in the lab that runs specifized Windows software,

it does ok if it perform a SAVE operation on data file for the first time, it also is ok with SAVE AS, but as soon as it is trying to save over an existing data file, (ie. just save) it gives Access Denied error, I have checked the permission, user has the change permission (everything except Full Control), and was to actually delete/create/modify the same datafile through explorer, also other application like Word and Excel works with SAVE and SAVE AS.

can you tell me why the application gives Access Denied on the same directory ?

Is it beacuse the file that you are try to saev to is open. well the application is thinking that.

no, its not open by anyone or any other apps, just a straight file save
