issue when installing i2004

Hello Guys,

Hope to find assistance here.

When installing new IP 2004 phone it causes several other phones to reboot in office...looks to be an issue with phone configuration /set.
We check the DHCP server /scope and everthing seems to be OK.
Those phones have been used already on the same system but long time ago.

Any idea ?

You might want to verify it's not getting an IP conflict, but it usually state this on the display and also on the tty

There is no ip conflict.. It s very strange

It could be a defective nic on one of your 2004's, causing a broadcast storm, rebooting your network switch.
Had that once....

The 2004 may be new to you but I doubt that it is newly manufactured. If it is refurbished, then non-authorized repair companies have been known to just copy the EEPROM so you end up with duplicate MAC addresses.
