I am working with a customer who is setting up a new unified messaging voicemail. They have a Definity R12si, connecting to an Audiocodes VoIP gateway thru a DS1 card setup as ISDN PRI using Qsig. The Audiocodes gateway connects to the Micrsoft Exhange 2007. A call going to a test station which covers to the server works fine. However they want to move about 600 DID numbers currently dedicated to their current Fax Server thru dedicated DID circuits to the Telco ISDN PRI into the Definity. I am trying to setup these new fax DID's to route to the Exchanger Server using UDP. The call routes to the Exchange Server but is answered by a generic greeting that the fax users account. It appears some information is getting lost between the Definity, Audiocodes Gateway and the Exchange Server. I am looking to see if anyone else has experienced a similiar problem and resolution. Thanks in advance.

If the exchange server is answering with the default system greeting then chances are you're not sending CPN accross that link/trunk.

According to the document I'll link below the SI doesn't appear to be supported unless you're using SIP.

Assuming you are using SIP then I would chekc the CPN values of the trunk on both side to verify it's enabled.

I beleive the Audiocodes Gateway is using SIP between it and the exchange server. According to the Exchange Administrator is shows the 4digit ext come in, in this case 4519. It works fine if I setup 4519 as an station with coverage path to the Exchange, but if I have it routing via UDP the Exchange Server can see the 4519 but it doesn't route the same using UDP. The customer is limited on the licensed ports available and that is why I need to get this working via UDP.

Hi, can't help you with the problem but i was interested in this solution. If you would be so kind could you let us all know how this is working out for your customer? Did they move move a different VM such as Intuity to the Microsoft product and if so what have been the real world pro and cons?
