Issue trying to sort on formulas

Hello,

Using CR XI with Oracle 9

I am trying to sort on two formula values. One formula (a running total) calculates the number of times an application has been put on hold and the other formula calculates the number of days the application have on hold. I am unable to use any of the experts(Sort expert or Group Sort Expert) to sort or to group the these formula because they do not appear in the experts. Is there another method that I can use to sort on they formulas.

If you can, replace the running totals with inserted summaries so that you can do sorts. Running totals are never available for sorts.

I do not think I can insert a summaries because of natural of the data and the business rules. But I will give it a try.

If you describe how the running totals you want to sort on are set up, I might be able to suggest how you could create formulas to use for inserted summaries.
