Guys, we had an IP Office at one of our customers that had an incorrect subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 where it needed to be 255.255.254.0. The customer changed it and now we can no longer see the IP office on its management IP from anywhere. Do you guys have any tips that can point us in the right direction to get it back up and running? Can we connect to the PBX with a serial cable to put it back / figure this out?

I would change back the subnet on the ipo.
If it has a second LAN then it is easy.
If not then connect a PC straight on the ipo with a fixed address.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

The unit mentioned a 192.168.43.1 address in the config. Does that mean that the default of 192.168.42.1 is not the case?

Can you connect a serial cable to the managment unit to change the IP address of the unit? How would you connect to the unit when it is brand new?

assign the PC you are managing it from with two fixed IPs:

One that will give you internet access and bind another with a subnet that works.

So you do not know what address the ipo has when it is default.
Hire a certified engineer who knows what he is doing.
Using DTE can make thus problem worse.
