I've seen some plug-ins that draw isometric lines. Is it possible to have an isometric grid in illustrator, instead of the regular one? Also, how do I specify the space/distance between two lines?

Thanks.

...the space and distance is determined in the preferences settings:

preferences > guides and grids

...as far as an isometric guide is concerned, vector shape can be converted to guides, so you could create your own isometric grid, based upon 30 degree angles, or skew shapes by 30 degrees:

view > guides > make guides

...this link may also help you out too:

Thanks for the links. Is it possible to set the distance between two lines?

...using the transform palette or 'object' > 'transform' > 'move' (+ copy)...

...'object' > 'transform again' will apply the last transformation made...
