Help !!
I am looking for a product/tool that runs natively (no other pc servers) that can convert TIFF files stored on the IFS file system to PDF format. I want to serve PDF files to a web browser for on-line viewing.
I do not want a solution that requires a PC (like IBM's Infoprint Server). I believe some of the conversions in the Infoprint server tool are now using the pase environment on V5R2, but the TIFF to AFP/IPDS still requires a PC.
I have found a java SDK that has classes that will perform the conversion and will run on the iSeries but I am concerned with the performance.
I have heard that IBM has a utility that runs in the PASE environment that will do this (just a rumor ??)
Thanks in advance
Jim
