ISDN TA Modem connecting to QUAD BRI

Hi,im trying to connect and ISDNTA modem to a quad bri port on a 3300 cxi rel 8 ur 5.
Im falling at the first hurdle and arent even getting layer 1 - ie the LED on the quad bri is red.

Ive tried a standard cat5 lead, crossover and the bri lead - pinout below:-

3-4, 4-3, 5-6 and 6-5

the protocal assignment for my bri is configured as follows:-

im under abit of pressure with this so would appreciate any advise!!

its amazing what happens when you get the pinout correct!!!
