Hello,

I try to program an ISDN with the protocol ISIG. I believe that is the only protocol where the M1 can be master for the clock.

I plug it in a Dialogic card configured with QSIG signaling and, basically, it works fine. But it's slipping a lot. (SLIPR).

I set the jumper on the QPC720 to force the B8ZS/ESF but I still have the same problem.

Is anyone who could help me?

Thanks,

Dany

Guess you must have a 61 or 81?? Slip repetition could be because you are competing/getting clock from your Dialogic somehow,i.e in competition with your main clock source. Can the Dialogic be changed??

I thought you had to have Master mode as a package?

Hi jackdaniels,

We have an Option61C. What do you mean by the Master mode as a package?

We forced the Dialogic to get the clock from the network (PBX) and we have the same result.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for your help!

I haven`t got access at the moment to my 61, but from what I remember if you print the "pkg" info in LD 20,21 22?? (I can`t remember) you will see whether yo have the capability/package to be a Mastermode switch. i.e normally you are only slave to the PSTN, although Q sig like DPNSS is a peer to peer signalling system, not network/user, master/slave but each end needs to be set as if. Normally if you clock both PBX`s from same clock source the link between should be in sync, is there any other equipment in between, delaying clock?? LD60 LCNT (loop number) should display the link counters. Do you suffer from any other clock problems? Are you clocking from the PSTN? Can Dialogic help??

Hello,

I'm not aware of any other clock problem except with my ISDNs.

The primary reference for the clock is the PSTN and the second is FreeRun.

There is nothing to delayed the clock except the wires (Cat3).

For the packages, I have to look at them. I didn't have time yet. Probably do that today.

LCNT, I have a errors after few minutes.

I can ask the help of Dialogic anytime but before involving them, I just want to check that everything is well configured.
