Hello,

I have an IP Office 500 with 5.0(8) having an ISDN PRI E1 trunk card with 8 channels that was working fine until the last week, i don't know what happen but the problem is that sometimes all we can't make calls and receive calls.
When we can't make calls i don't hear any think after dialing the number, just silence fo no limit time, no busy tone or anything.
- Sometimes for everyone and somtimes for some users : some users can call to outside and others can't.
- Sometimes after using number of channels any other calls will be blocked : for exemple 3 or 4 simultaneous active calls can't make any other call.
I didn't found another way to explain the problem.

I have 2 PRI trunks and some analog trunks but im using only one PRI for all users.
PRI Line number = 13
Incoming group ID = 5
Outgoing group ID = 5
No other trunk have the same group ID.

It seems a problem of losing synchronisation.
With the system status i got Red Alarm and Yellow Alarm.

i did a trace with the sysMonitor application and i have this error :

292781mS CMARS: FindActiveARSByGroupID GroupID=5 - Not Found
292781mS CMLRQ: FindActiveLRQByGroupID GroupID=5 - Not Found
292782mS CMTARGET: Group Id: 5 has NOT been found in Line: 5

Any one had the same issue like this before ?

Thanks.

Have you called your line provider yet to test the PRI CCT.
Do that first.

Seen it many times, on every occasion it's been the providers equipment. Even though they run many tests and say it's fine and even onsite testing but in the end it's always been the provider :)

Although you do not have the license for it. Try putting the amount of channels to 30.

Now, you're ip office uses channels 1 > 8.

But maybe your provider uses channels 30 > 22.

Have seen this more then once..

amriddle01, yes it's 100% a problem coming from the line provider, but the technical who is working with the provider could not found the source of the problem.

snowman50, what is the PRI CCT ?

Okkie26, yes i tried the amount to 30 and the provider did that too but always same problem, and we are using same channels : 1 > 8.

Could the problem coming from the signaling channel ? im using ETSI. Any one knows how the line signaling works ? i mean to etablish communication with the line provider.

Sorry PRI CCT was just a abbreviation for PRI circuit.

Red Alarm means you are losing the framing from something upstream from you. Your equipment sends a Yellow Alarm when this condition is encountered.

If you check the errors over the past 24 hours you will likely see statistics there. These should be "0" on a good circuit. ~ Mike

Yesterday, I had +999 Yellow Alarms in just an hour, is that normal ?

Yes it is normal - when the line is faulty

At all other times there should be 0 alarms

this is either a fault ISDN30 circuit or a faulty Pri card on the system. 2 Mars bars says it is not the IPO!

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Our in house system has been up for 4 months without a reboot and the ISDN30 has zero alarms :)

Thank you all for the support,

Well the problem has been fixed, it was coming from the line provider as expected, today they have changed their ISDN gateway, it was broken.

Now everything is working fine and i have no alarms, 0 yellow and 0 red.

Just one more question, Is it possible to add 8 channels PRI licenses for the version 5.0(8) or i have to upgrade ?
