If in the second S/T port of an ISDN NT terminal connected to a BP any other equipment is connected; a router for example) the ISDN channel in BP is closed (the state changes from 20 to 32 under supervisions, Link supervisor)
This situation does not happen in MD110.

Any idea ?

Thank you

hi rfpup!

could you explain the situation more precisely!? as far as a understood you have a existing NT of your provider! you have connected your bph with the NT and you also want to connect a router on the same NT?

i would connect the router on a internal s or t interface of bph! because your NT is probably configured as point to point connection and not point to multipoint!

regards bpczi

hi rfpup!

the isdn t interfaces of bph to a provider are rather adapted for point to point connections as for point to mulitpoint connections! could you find out on which board of the md110 was the router connected? tlu7? elu26?

regards, bpczi

Hi Bpczi,
Regarding your question There are these answers:

"as far as a understood you have a existing NT of your provider! you have connected your bph with the NT and you also want to connect a router on the same NT? "

Yes this NT terminal is the latest one (of four existing NTs) and there is too less traffic in it so the router can use it when needed for dialing out.

There are in ttal three switches in the NT terminal:
1. Emergency S/Emergency ab (when there is no 220 V power and the NT is feeded from U line is the emergency case, the NT has also two analog sockets ab)

2. Extended bus/short bus (in any bus type the equipment allows to connect up to 8 TEs)

3. a key with a variable resistor (0 ohm, 50 ohm, 100 ohm)

Regarding your second question the router is connected to the second S/T port of the NT terminal and not directly with the MD110
