Hello!

I have a problem regarding the ISDN external calls on eMG80,

if i make an external call with the Analog phone it won't have any tone and voice.
if i make an internal call with it, it works.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Is this isdn2e or isdn30e?
For Isdn2e: Do you have the TEI setting matched to the type of line. Whatever you are set to try the other option.
Have you tried different alog ports on the system?
Remember they are hybrid so you can't support a digital and alog off the same port!!
What about Digital handsets do they work?

Mark

it is isdn2e

yes TEI are matched and i also tried the other option, if i call the analog phone using my cellphone it works perfectly.
The problem is if i call my cellphone using the analog phone, it doesn't give me any sound.
Thank you for your reply!

Hi,
What if you call a number that isn't a cellphone? On other systems there was a setting for 3.1Khz audio which I think got over this problem. I'm currently looking to see if this is on the eMG80.

Hello!

the same problem happens, i also tried the 3.1khz this morning and still i am not getting any good results.
thanks for the reply!

Could you default the system to factory settings or is that going to be a problem? Could be faulty system hardware too.

I also tried doing that and reconfigured it, still the same problem. I am also considering a system hardware problem.

I tried calling to an internal number, phone number 116 to 100, then transferred it to my cellphone and it works.
the only problem is if I call external directly using the analog phone

Internal call: analog(116) ---> digital (100) = OK
Internal call: digital(100) ---> analog(116) = OK
External call: digital(100) ---> cell (VICE VERSA) = OK
External call: cell ---> digital(100) and analog(116) = OK
Internal call: analog(116) ---> digital (100) then transferred to cell = OK
External call: analog(116) ---> cell = No Voice

Wow!! That's really odd. I assume you've tried alog extensions other than 116?

yeah but i still get the same results. I find it strange but I am still looking for solutions

Just a thought!

Are the analogues trying to dial out on the VOIP channels? With a digital you will have line presentation and can see your dialling out on the ISDN2 circuits. Does the call to a mobile connect?

Ok, Press Trans *#..... TRANS/PGM..... the transfer key?.......sigh!

Hello eats!

Yes they are dialing out on the VoIP channels.
Yes the call to mobile connect the problem is there is no 'voice'.

mobile to analog = ok
analog to mobile = no voice

thanks!

Hi,
In you original post you said the problem was on isdn. Are you saying it is actually across voip channels you are having this problem? Is there isdn2e channels and voip channels on your eMG80? Is this problem happening across both the voip channels and isdn2e channels?
Sorry I have got a bit confused about your precise set up and what you have already tried to resolve this.
Regards
Mark

Hi

If your using ISDN2 then make sure the voip channels are in a different group and the SLT's have access to both. By default the SLT's will use the lines in group 1 first. If using SIP then look at the below and see if they help the issue.

iPECS SIP no outgoing call on some extensions:
If there SIP outgoing calls fail on some extensions, it is likely that in Station Data, Common Attributes PGM111 SIP User Table Index value is not set. Set this to the correct index number (as required in PGM126) and outgoing calls should work.

eMG80 - no VOIU lines on Phase 2:
on the eMG80 Phase 2 the VOIU channels are flexible, so if you find your system does not have any VOIU channels on it go to System ID (PGM 100) and at the very bottom of the page there is the "Flexible VMIU/VOIU channel" option, set this to match the number of VOIU channels you have licenced on the system and then save, you will then be asked to reboot the system, once it is back up you should see the VOIU channels have appeared in the Device IP Plan and can now be programmed as normal.

Hallo!

SIP datas are set right on PGM(111)

We tried the solution in PGM(100) regarding ''Flexible VMIU/VOIU'' but still no voice

thanks for the solutions!

Hi ruzriese

Are you using SIP trunks or ISDN2? The original thread starts with ISDN2 and the beginning of the replies state ISDN2. If you are then you need to make sure your analogue extension do not have access to the VOIP channels. Find out what line number the ISDN2's are and pick up those lines directly off the analogue devices. It will something along the lines of 8801 or 8802 etc.

Hello eats and Jonah!

The problem is now solved, it is a bug in the system.
Thank you for the help!

best regards,
ruzriese
