Our trunk is showing a far side error and we are not receiving the D channel signal for these ports from our LEC.

Are there any other test I can run or try so I can make sure it is not our equipment?

I thank you in advance for any help or direction.

do a "test board 1d19", send us the codes that fail

You can (if you haven't) do a "sta sig ?" and see if the siganling group is down. The circuit can be good and the service still be down. It think this is a problem from your provider to you. Probably a bad card on their end.

Also your B channels will be down if the primary D channel or associated signaling is down. I would call them and work on getting the signaling group up and the rest should come back up.

Hell, there are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something.

That's what I thought, I have called our provider and told them we are not receiving any signals from them on our D channel and they are currently re-testing the circuit.

I wanted to make sure; I did everything I could to ensure the issue was not on our end.

Thanks for your help and will let u know the solution, so if anyone else has the same issue they too can trouble shoot using these steps.

status the trunk group now, it looks like the channels should be inservice/idle now

No- They are all still showing Out of Servvice/ Far End
OOS/FE-idle. (

wacky, yeah Mikey's right, get the vendor on the phone, maybe they have it looped up some where.

Don't let them give you the "It's testing clean" B.S.

A couple of examples where I was given this answer, yet:

* The smart jack which they supposedly could loop to had no POWER.

* They told me they were seeing signal from my PBX...yet I had unplugged it earlier...

Both times a loop was left in at one point or another along the circuit's path...

Also are you sure the DS1 is configured properly? Try changing from protocol A to B (or vice versa)....

SJF

Now it gets worse though. The primary shows to be up, so the group should be up. The secondary shows to be down which should not effect service. The secondary should only be used if the primary is down.

I would spend some quality time on the phone with my vendor and test together to get this resolved.

No new configuration has been done to the DS1 and I was able to do a successful internal loop back to the CSU/SDU another good indication that it's not with our equipment.

I have asked them to dispatch one of their techs to trouble shoot the issue. (Which after much grumbling they have agreed to do so.)

Thanks again and will let u know what the end result is.

Best

Check your protocal on your DS1 set up a,b,c.
Sounds like your protocal is not the same as your provider
