Ok here is my problem.
I need to deploy ISA with VPN and Exchange running on the Same machine.
I get ISA installed and working on the W2K server and routing traffic to the Internet no problems. i then deployed VPN. still no problems able to get connected and still browse the web.
I then Install Exchange 2000 on the server and start to Configure the SMTP forwarding and relaying. As i'm testing this i Another SMTP server on the network i configure to relay to the Exchange gives error messages
********************************************
Unable to contact smtp server 192.168.1.22.
Connection attempts repeatedly failed with error 10061 (Connection refused by remote end).
**********************************************
I then start to test the connection using ping i get back (Request time Out). It took me an 3 hours to figure out that ISA services Manager causes this. If i stop this serivce i can again ping the Server. and Exchange is running.
I contuined to test by turning off Exchange and all other Serivces that run accross TCP/IP trying to see if ISA and another service are not geting along to no avail.
I then removed ISA and then Reinstall it and still causes the problem. I then remove Exchange from the Server and reintalled ISA to no avail.
I haved search MS knowledge base to no avail.
Please help.
