I have an intranet published in IIS on the web server which also has ISA on it. I am running W2K and when I try to view the intranet I am getting the following error.

403 Forbidden - The server denies the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Contact the server administrator. (12202)
Internet Security and Acceleration Server

As usual Microsofts' support site gave no indication of what might be wrong. Does anybody with more knowledge of ISA know what the problem might be.

Thanks

try to access the url without using proxy...
did you define the LAT table ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------
I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work

I have defined the LAT table but just with the range of the internal network 192.168.1.*. Do I need to change the LAT?

I will try to access the URL without proxy.

Thanks

Check your authentication method on the web page that could be the answer, check out q279681 from microsoft technet. "how to force ssl encryption for an outlook we access 2000 client. This may shine some light towards your solution.

ok ive seen this problem before.
Even though the LAT is set up correctly, the Internal web site keep going through the ISA server.
I have two solutions to this problem. First is the make a Site and Content Rule to allow users access to the web server.
Second is to go down to Client Configuration in ISA management console. Select Web Broswer out of the right hand pane and then right mouse click on it and go to properties. Then select the Direct Access tab and ensure the Bypass proxy for local servers is ticked and then add the ip address of your LAN or Intranet Site
