Is WINS needed in W2003 Enviro

Would like to hear what the experts say regarding WINS in a W2003 environment.
We have DHCP and DNS that should be working Dynamically.
 
Not 100% sure about WINS since AD DNS supports service records. Some legacy apps may requie WINS resolution. NetBIOS on the other hand is still required for some network services.
Here is a list of all Windows services and the ports they require.
 
I agree with Kenny. You don't need it except where you still might have legacy systems, NT domains, applications that rely on NetBIOS.
 
WINS is still required by Exchange and a good idea in general... until Microsoft can truly get rid of everything that depends on it.
 
lwcomputing is WINS required even in Exchange 2007? I really was hoping they might finally get around to not needing it in this release.
 
I'm not sure about Exchange 2007 and/or Longhorn - but believe me - they too are hoping to finally kill off WINS
