I'm trying to get arcserv 2000 on win 2k to back up a remote agent on a netware server, it is netware 6.5, and the agent is 7.00 build 178.001 Every time the server starts a backup the netware box abends? I do get a smdr error message when nwagent starts, but can't figure this out.

Buildnumber 260 of the NetWare agent should support this (CA fix QO19337). Also check if the TSA components (including SMDR) are updated to the latest version (TSA5UP18)

let me fix that, i have netware 6.0 sp5, does that change the tsa level?

Check the NLM's incuded with TSA5UP18 with the ones that are loaded on your server. (if you unpack it you can see the versions)
