Is Windows 2000 suitable for home/desktop user? Windows 2000 and Windows XP, which's better?

Windows XP consists of Home edition and Professional edition. How about Windows 2000? Which version it has? Which's suitable for desktop user?

With windows 2000 you only get a professional version for user PC's.

As for which is better XP or 2000 i think its personal choice. Personally i cant stand XP since the release of SP2 on it.
