Is this diagram possible for a Home Network with winxp?

Hi, I am trying to setup a home network using 3 computers right now. Soon I will add a 4th and it will be wireless to the router. I want to know if this diagram (

is possible to run a home network. If so, why can't I get it to work. What should I be looking for when trying to set up this network. I been doing it with the network wizard.

I would eliminate the hub personally. Just go out and get a 4 port wireless router (I prefer Linksys). This will allow you to hard wire 4 workstations and as many wireless devices you have. If you do not have any servers running on your home network let the router handle the DHCP (automatic IP addressing). Verify all your workstations are on the same workgroup (this allows you to use sharing and print capablities) and the TCP/IP is set to automatically obtain. You will have to input your DNS servers from your cable or DSL company into the router as well to broadcast to the other workstations (withouth this your workstations will not be able to resolve

http://www addresses).

One thing I cannot stress enough with wireless home networks is utilize the wireless security. Change the default SSID, channel it broadcasts on, change router admin password, as well as use the 128 bit encryption it offers. It can be a little tricky setting up the wireless workstations, but if you stay with the same brand of wireless cards as the router shouldn't be too difficult. Good luck and stay secure.
