Question for everyone. Is there much of a performance increase from the 43P 200MHz to the 43P 233MHz

NO.

what is your definiton of performance increase.

Just the number of cpu speed is difference. It is not NOT NOT going to increase performance.

There is memory and disk io plus cpu makes a performance.

Well.. I decided to pick up a 43P 233MHz with 256MB of RAM and a GXT800P graphics card. I'm sure I'll be happy with it. I may want to bump the memory upto 512MB. Does anyone know any good sites to buy options for RS/6000's?

We have numerous 43P's and for memory I've determined the part number for Kingston Memory then searched the Internet for the best price on that part. Sometimes to save just a couple of dollars its not worth the hassle or the wait.

Try Kingston first but if you get mem errors (LED220 I think) then you'll need IBM RAM. Also look for an AIX performance guide, it will give you plenty to do. =) IBM Certified -- AIX 4.3 Obfuscation
