Hi,I need to find out if I have any lost,damaged or missing files.And I need to know if my system configurations are ok with W98se.Is it possible to do/find out? Maybe I'm dreaming here but I was hoping to be able to run something <br>on my puter that would let me know about this.Thanx!<br><br>Strader

To check file integrity, you run SCANDISK and DEFRAG.&nbsp;&nbsp;There are several programs from vendors that will check your system, but they basically use these utilities in a different user interface to impress you. In scandisk, select the thorough option and if you want, run it after you are finished with your puting for the day/nite, as both of these can take over 2 hours to run.&nbsp;&nbsp;Use the automatically fix errors option, so you won't have to sit there and answer each question as it discovers an error. also run them in that order.&nbsp;&nbsp;Otherwise, defrag may halt on you and request that you run scandisk, slowing down the timeframe for task comletion.&nbsp;&nbsp;This is just the start.&nbsp;&nbsp;
