Hi,

I have to refresh a cube in a batch mode using stored procedures That's because we have a tool that takes stored procedures and runs them in bacth overnight. I should not use VB code.
Now is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

Shab,

You might want to try kicking of a DTS task from the stored procedure, which processes the cube. I don't think there's any built-in scripts to process olap cubes - they require some sort of DSO VBScript.

SQL Service Pack 2 includes enhancements to the DTS service that allow you to process a cupe through a DTS package and this can the be scheduled.

However, it doesn't seem to install automatically as part of SP2!! Look in the SQL SP2 install directory and there is an executable which you have to run. Sorry I don't have any details to hand, they are in another office, but if you look on MS Knowledge Base for SQL SP2 you should find details of what to do.
