Here is the scenario...

I have a remote user that is now working in the office.
I have given her a new extenstion (DID)

I would like to route her old number to her new one.
(giving her time to let her customers know of the new number)

Is there an easy way to do this? If I change the cov path to the new station, is there a way to force the new ext to answer with voicemail and not route back to the old voice mail?

Thank you for any suggestions or help.

If you have VDN / Vectoring and BCMS or CMS I would make the old number a VDN and route to the new station with coverage yes. You could keep that in place until the reporting shows no activity.

If you don't have VDN / Vectoring I would forward the old station ew and change the old stations page 2 coverage after forwarding to make it go to the new VM box.

Thanks for the help, I will give it a try.

You can change the AAR digit conversion so to delete the digits of the old and insert the new extension then she would only require the single Vmail box you can also do this on the Trunk form.
