Is there an alternative to framesets? 1

Currently my site has a simple frameset, and i'm using the javascript:

parent.page1.location="page1.html"
parent.page.location="Page.html"

To change two frames at once, but, since i'm using a frameset the page has been limited to the size of the browser.

I was wondering if there was an alternative to framesets, or an alternative javascript that would work. I've already tried Iframes, but the parent location thing doesn't want to work with them.

There are alternatives to framesets, but it really depends on your needs. Can you explain a bit more about why you use frames, or better still, give us the URL to your site?

Sorry, but the sites currently on my hardrive x_X.

I was just using frames because i like the look of them, it's just a personal webpage.

All i really need is for it to change the two frames, but not be constricted to the browser size.

But if the solution is terribly complicated, i'll just drop the idea of frames.

the alternative is to not use framesets.
similar functionality can be had through server side includes.

the graphical appearance of frames can be rendered through css and divs.
