Hi,

I dont think there is away for this, but can you connect to another machine that is currently being used by a local user and say me being able to remotely log using my profile set on the computer i want to control. This means i can work on admin uses while another user is working as normal at the same time on windows XP Pro. Is there away? This is like what you can do with Windows Servers?

What can be done via Remote Assistance?

300692 - Description of the Remote Assistance Connection Process

Focus on: Remote Assistance and Windows XP

294676 - HOW TO: Enable and Use the "Run As" Command When Running Programs in Windows

"To start a program as an administrator" in the Help and Support program.

Why do you want to work on machine as admin while user still working as normal? Presumably you're updating something (as opposed to sorting something out for the user in their own user session) - so shouldn't the user actually be logged off, so there's no interference between them and you?

It doesnt have to be doing administrative things, but to be able to be working on my settings on the other computer from a different machine i am on, so typically i want a local user and a external user using the pc at the same time on different accounts - can this be done?
