Hello All

We have some PRI connectivity in our CS1000M with other switches...it is happend mostly that some PRI get disabled and we dont know about it till our users call us and make complains. is there a way to monitor these PRIs with LIVE module on our PC or to make some arrangements for connecting some buzzers , so that the buzzers rings as soon a PRI goes down. It is quite difficult to get status in LD 60 every time. And our seating arrangements are in a room other than switch room.

Thanks

try a D-CH analyzer

Use SNMP or SEB like devices to send you email alerts

There is no "Live Status" on any Nortel switch that I know of. It's just a snap shot of current activity. If the PRI's are disabling there is an underlying issue causing this.

How can we make a routine for resetting PRI after an interval of time automatically..?

There are monitoring programs out there that can do screen scraps and display status and usage metrics at what appears to be a "live" status. Oops. I forgot one word in that sentence. Expensive. There are expensive monitoring programs that can do it.

Like yyrkroon said you can set up SNMP to send traps to more inexpensive monitoring devices to send you email alerts when a SNMP event is encountered for a D-channel disabling or a loop going down. While you do get some false alarms and positives using that it's relatively useful.

Like KCFLHRC said, there is an underlying issue for why your circuit keeps dropping. Your initial efforst are best directed to finding out why it's doing that.

Thanks Wanebo.
You are right instead of searching for live monitoring, its better to find out the faults in media and rectify them...thank you all
