Is there a way to move folders/doc and keep original date/time 1

Does anyone know if there's a way to move docs or folders in the document libraries and still keep the date/time stamp? Every time I try to move it (using the explorer view) it changes the date and time to the current one.

I want to take project folders that are complete and move them out of our Active Project folder but it is important to keep all the original dates for auditing purposes.

Hello,

We have been struggling with these date/time thing here aswell. As fasr as I know you can't use the default (built in) Date/time column, you will have to create your own custom columns, however I think you will have to write some custom code to be able to grab the existing dates and populate your custom columns with it.

I am not a developer, so I can't be of much help in giving code examples.
