Is there a way to delete multiple layer w/ one drag?

I realized sometime I have many layers and usually when I want to delete these unwanted layers, I have to drag them one at a time to the garbage can. I was wondering can I do something like the Shift/CTR key in window explorer for Photoshop where you could select multiple itema then deleted/ dragged them in one session to the garbage can palette?

Hi. Link all the layers you want to delete, then open the drop down menu in the layers palette and click 'Delete Linked'

I don't see it my Layer drop down menu. Is it available in 7.0? I'm using 6.0 and I don't see it.

Otherwise, you did give me a tip. I just linked all the unwantedlinks, merge them, and then delete them.
