Dear All,

I have the following scenario:
A) Main site: Fileserver running Windows Server2003, a LAN connected via switch 100/1000.

B) Branch site: a LAN connected via switch 100/1000 (consist of 5 pcs)

I need to connect these two (2) LANs over a dial-up connection RRAS,
- Should I use a router with dialup module in both sides ?
- How the connection/configuration would be on the server (RRAS) ?
- Is there a better suggestion ?

Best regards & thanks for the help.

adscnet,

How about an on-demand or "dial-up" VPN on both sides, if you don't have the budget for standard VPN.

In my office, we use a Netscreen VPN/Firewall through RRAS for authenication down to a remote office in Phoenix, AZ via DSL. We are located in the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks Morpth for your reply,

The problem I can't use your suggestion because the remote branch does not have Internet connection & I can't have one!.

Ok then,

What avenues do you have available to you? Only a dial-up "POTS" connection, or are there leased lines for PPTP connections?
