Does anyone know of a way to bypass a disabled USB Storage device function in MS Windows XP without having administrator rights to change the security permissions on the usbstor.pnf
I want to make sure I have all my bases covered. I'm a new network administrator for a small company. I use to be a system analyst but our network administrator left and I'm the replacement and new to the network administration side. If I set the policy to disable the usbstor.pnf, is there anything else I need to do to ensure users cannot use usb storage devices on the workstations.
Here's physical devices that I would use if I were trying to secure USB ports...people can be ingenious, and they can no doubt find a way to defeat these devices too, but their physical nature means greater safety to me.
