Is there a way other than RAD to reset Installer password? 1

So, I know I can get in with a RAD. Is there any other way through the dialpad to reset the Installer's password to default?

You need to go through a debug. I think there is a faq on it, or if you are Nortel Certified you can call support and they will go through the debug with you. Last resort, open up KSU and short out the cap, you will lose all programming.

Thanks. Can you elaborate on "debug". I was already aware of the "reprogram the system" method...

Depending on the date and system software version, Nortel generates a password for f**debug.Then you go to a memory dump and read the digits which are the existing password.

So, the options are:
1) Go through Nortel
2) Reprogram the system
3) Get into system programing with a RAD.
