My company uses Windows 2003 with PS3 environment. We login to the MF servers through a web site that is runned by IIS. Is there away from my web site that if a client clicks a link the Citrix web client can automatically install?
you can enable that in the Web interface console, should be under client deployment, under web client settings, check the box to enable web client deployment at login.
On your web interface server, go to start->programs->citrix->management consoles->web interface console, launch the Web interface console, and follow above directions to automate client download. Then click the save button on buttom of page, then click apply settings.
Go to a pc where the citrix client is not installed and navigate to the address of the Web Interface page. keep in mind of popup blocker is enabled you will not see anything.
How do I put an updated version of the web client so that it will work through by web site which is runned by IIS? THe citrix web interface console is setup already.
Thanks for all your helpfull advise. Will a user need administrator rights to have it installed? Can you give me any tips, tricks or problems you may have had with this?
A user probably will need local admin rights on the machine to install the software yes. I had to have 60 users install it at once, so i had a conference call set up, and walked everyone thru downloading the package at one time.
