Is the replace function not available in v7.0? 1

I have finally got to the end of a long string of formulae all referring to each other and found one that is not recognised by the version of Crystal that my client has installed (7.0.1.100). This has resulted in all the formulae falling over. The formula in question is:
replace(stringfield,'%','*'). Is there a work around in V7 or do I have to upgrade to later version of Crystal?

As you correctly surmise, there is no Replace functionality in v7. Replace is introduced from v8 onward.

However, I believe you can download a replace ufl from the Crystal support site.
