Is the B5800 just a IP500 with a more expensive SD card?

Same hardware, so yes I guess it is :)

No. While it is largely the same hardware it does have feature differences. For example, using Modular Messaging for voicemail but still allowing local Embedded Voicemail card for announcements and auto attendants at the same time. Works both ways, IP Office mode has things that B5800 doesn't have. Expect them to differ more and more with each release.

My question was more around a situation where a customer has a head off with a IP500V2 and a load of branches with IP500V2s and IP Phones etc. If we pull the IP500V2 at head office and replace it with an Aura box then goto each branch and sell them a new B5800 SD card and reprogram.

While this sounds good is it possible? I know there will be some licences and extra costs but is it an option?
