Is Sybase faster on Unix RAW or JFS ?

We have a project to check if Sybase 11.5.1 will run faster on Unix RAW volumes or JFS.<br>Does anyone have any info on this ?<br><br>Thanks<br>Steve

My understanding is Sybase always run faster in raw device rather than JFS. Double check with Sybase on this.<br><br>Mike

What is this JFS? <br><br>If u mean JFS is File system then, Sybase runs faster on File system (JFS) compared to Raw Devices. <br><br><br>Milton Gonsalves (DBA)<br>
