Hi guys,
I would ask you for opinion regarding one point:
1/My WinManager 6, in Cleaning option found I can delete next files from my XP SP3, without risk:
-System Backup files..........abt 36 MB
-Backup DLL files.............." 362 MB
-Backup Drivers................" 73 MB
-System files...................." 40 MB
-Total abt ..................... 511 MB
as I have shortage of free area in Partition C:\ , do you think is it safe to delete a/m files , or not.

Now tried with WinExplorer and on the left pane of C:\Windows\Folder, all these files are visible, but on rigt pane - NO.
How this can be possible ?

Finaly solved this isue- changed in Views to Thumbnails where all files was shown- then returned to Tiles and all is O.K. now.
Main question remain - what is safe to delete.

Main question remain - what is safe to delete".

Any file that is not likely to be used for running the operating system correctly, any file that is not being used to run your programs correctly, any data file that you yourself have no longer a use for. Your question is a bit general and broad ranging making it difficult to supply an exact answer.

When dealing with folders or files in the Windows folder or sub-folders none of them are safe to delete unless you know what you are doing and have done your research. Articles on deleting old ServicePack files and the $NT... files guide you in this matter.

Windows will not let you delete any file that is in use or a vital part of the operating system.
