Getting an NT server to support. Need a scheduling and scripting environment to automate tasks. Suggestions have included perl, rexx, tcl, python, WSH with VB scripting edition and WSH with jscript.
Actually I was hoping that others would have responded by now...
REXX is an excellent scripting language... however it has some limitations on the PC... namely it is not free on a windows platform (as best as I can tell) unlike both Tcl and Perl...
I'm using a version of REXXX named REGINA REXX. IT's free and works fine in W2000 and NT. I/O are handle differently than I'm use to with MVS. Otherwise it's very similar to REXX on VM and MVS.
