IS Norton going to work on my x64 server?

As always, I find Symantecs website to be totally impenetrable . . . wondered if you chaps could give me some help.

I have NAV corporate 7.5 on my 2k network, and am very happy with it.

I am planning at the moment to upgrade to 2.3k, exchange 2007 and ISA server 2006. All clients will be XP pro.

So, what I need is NAV for 1 x 2003r2 64bit, 1 x 2003r2 32 bit, 1 x 2k, and 10 xp clients. I will use the 2k server as the AV centre.

Is there a package that will cover all that? The US site doesn't seem to be selling corporate edition in any form, the Brazilian site (where I am) offers 10.2

The version you are using (7.5) is way behind. It does not contain any spyware or hacker tools detection and it is no longer supported by Symantec. You should upgrade SAV Corporate Edition 10.1.6.6000. This contains a 64 bit version you can put on your servers. This site should get started with information on purchasing the product.

Oh yeah, I certainly need to update. I just can't see from Symantec's webite what I'm actually buying.

Seems to me that they have just replaced the antivirus product with the Endpoint product - and it looks as though what I probably need is 'Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition', which offers a 10 user licence for $738 (which sounds OK to me).

But, whether that includes all the server and client side bits and pieces I need, I really can't tell.

I spoke to Symantec in Sao Paulo today, whose sales people didn't even understand that 2003 x64 isn't the same as the 32 bit application. I was told the 32 bit client software works on 'any windows machine'. Not confidence inspiring . . .

Thanks for your help though, I suspect I will end up going via the US site anyway.
