I've a compaq D510 SFF desktop PC with a 175 watt power supply. I was wandering if my power supply gets problems when I'm putting in an Ati Radeon 9100 64DDR LowProfile. And are there allready good drivers for.
Thanks
Dennis

It's quite possible. It really depends on the number of devices in your system. A 230W or 250W power supply is the standard in most systems built in the past 4 years. If you go to a retail store today, it is hard to find anything less than 300W.

Thanks for your reply´s

I can tell you what´s in my PC.
Maxtor 40Gb 7200rpm, CD burner 8X4X32X, 1,44 diskdrive, Onboard : Network controller, sound card, Intel extreme graphics, USB2.0.
Is it possible to put also an Ati Radeon 9100 64MB-DDR DVI/TV LP in my PC.
Thanks,
Dennis

Well, you can always try it and see. If you don't want to chance it, then is a good place to find power supplies cheap.

You'll want to try to avoid generic ones, however. Enlight, Antec, and Enermax are all decent. Here's a link to some name brand ones for around $30 after shipping:

The problem is that it´s a compaq evo D510 SFF and it comes with a five sided power supply.
The link below will show the specs of the SmallFormFactor.
Maybe somebody can tell me what´s the power consumtion of an ATi Radeon 9100 64DDR DVI/TV out LP.

Thanks
Dennis

Today I've bought an Ati Radeon 9100 64DDR DVI/TV LP.
And it works perfect with no case. I can play C&C generals with the highest res. and detail. Now the only thing to do is change the bracket a little bit and maybe an extra fan on the back. and I'm done. Till now I didn't had any problems with my power supply.
