We have 2 small sites connected by a single Cisco AeroNet Radio link. At either end they connect to Nortel 450T Baystack Switches.

We are preapring to install a second Cisco Aeronet Radio link and want to aggregate this available bandwidth to improve throughput. Each Cisco has its own ethernet connection.

What configuration needs to be done at the Nortel Switch at either end?. Do we use Multilink Trunk? Do we turn off Tree Spanning?. What other changes are recommended?

Regards,
Dale Bentley

Multi-link trunk ought to work, and no, you do not need to turn off spanning tree for the Nortel gear but you may want to on the Cisco gear. I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

4.2.0.9 softwre on 450 must be used as problems exist with mlt on older versions.
