is it possible to put a password on brighstor?.. to stop others gaining access to it?....

Just setup the permissions to the ARCserve directory and share to suit your needs.
 
thanks for the reply.... the problem is a number of people log in as administrator but I dont want anyone opening the arcserve application... any idea?...

I guess I should be logging on as caroot.. ?
 
In 'BAB Home' you can click on 'Click here to change the server' and then, in 'Security information', un/check to remember this.

Too you can create another users, using: ca_auth

Hi, Thank you for your post also, but unticking this box doesnt stop other users altering brightstor jobs...even when I come out of it and go back in...

Also, a new user will not help me, my caroot username is unique here but it doesnt stop anyone click on the app and altering jobs?....

Well Admins can be removed from the permissions list.

Ultimatly it is not an easy thing to do. The Manager can be installed on other systems and connect remotely and jobs can be run from a command line.

If what you are after is preventing them from access to the data then use a session password.

But to really lock it down install it on a system that only you have access to.
