Is it possible to mask a router as a term server using the aux port

Is it possible to mask a router as a terminal server using the aux port?

I have a 2501 router that I can't log into, through some investigation I found out there was nothing wrong with the router. (There's a serial issue with my pc.) The kicker is that I can access my other routers through the console port. ( I have two 2503 routers, two 2501 routers and a 2900 xl switch.) I thought that there was a command in the ios (11.1) available for you to specify if you want to set-up an ip server or http ip server? Any help or clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Are you asking about reverse telnet access using the Aux port to access your other routers? If so you will still need to configure the router via console.

My question is with these 2500's you are having a problem accessing, is the computer you are using a Win2k machine? If so are you using Hyperterminal to attempt to gain access?

If you answered yes to both questions I suggest you use something like TERA TERM. Or some other free Terminal Emulator. For some deranged reason Hyperterminal gets glitchy with Win2k and connecting to 2500's. I haven't experienced it with other Cisco boxes but with 2500's I have found that they don't like hypertem from Win2k. Some will work fine while some will just do nothing or throw out tons of garbage at your screen making it look like the matrix.
