Customer wants the vm from ext 21 prime set (operator set) sent to his ext # 23. He want to make sure that he gets any vm's left on the prime set ext 21 sent to him.
Customer now states that when someone dials in his ext 23 from the AA it rings at all of the phones.
We had set up the system so when a person hits 0 for an oper it would ring at all of the phones in the warehouse and would leave a voice mail in his VM ext 23. This is what he wanted, but he does not want it to do it when some hits 23 from the AA because other people are picking up his personal calls. It is currently doing it now. Did we screw up or is there some other way?
Question: Is it possible to change it so that when a person hits ext. 23 it only rings at his ext and goes to his vm without losing the 0 ringing at the other phones?
Would it be easier just to have the voice mail from 0 go to a general mail box and not his?
Customer is looking to stop the AA from transfering ext 23 to all of the phones; Is this a dn issue?
Cust is now looking to have the 0 vm directed to a mailbox (general). Help cust from heck!
If you make the ATDT avail in the voicemail settings under AA, table...Then build a hunt group in system programming and assign memebrs to it that you wish to ring when 0 is pressed. The only hitch is you are at 2 digit DN's and hunt group programming is not available to you until you make it three digit DN's. Now in order to accomplish this you will need to Perform a startup on both your system and voicemail, shnge the starting DN to be 221 in the system and thenthe voicemail will follow. You will have to reprogram both system and vmail.
You can have mail box 21 message notify internally to 23 when a message is left. You can then check themessages in 21. I don't think you are going to find a way to share the message or forward from one box to another automatically.
jdslay is right, the only and best way to set up calling difrent extensions is by using a hunt group as the Atendant DN and program the Extensions you want to ring as members of the DN
now, to get the messages from the attendant extension to the administrators phone, the best way to do this is by adding a unified messaging license to the CP100, and programming the administrators email client (Outlook, Outlook Express) to login and retrieve those messages. this way, the operator will have no idea that the messages where already checked (the administrator can 'Mark as Unread') any message, the administrator can also save a copy of the message on his PC and share with anyone who has an email address.
if you want to implement that, give me a call, I can sell you the UM license, and teach you how to install it on the CP100 and on the administrators PC.
