Hi There!
Using Exchange 2000 we have filtered personal email addresses that have become a problem, yet we want to be able to filter outgoing messages to particular email addresses.
Is this possible?

Also, we want to be able to allow an address to be recieved by one user and not by another. Is that possible?

TIA,
Gertie

Buy a third party product or write your on event sink.

Thank you for your reply!
Do you recommend a 3rd party software and where can I find info on writing my own "event sink"?

You can find information on writing event sinks in MSDN. There are many filtering products on the market, each with it's own unique mix of features. You'll have to check them out and determine which one best fits your needs.

We use GFI's mail essentials which is not too expensive (priced per mailbox) and has numerous anti-spam filters that can also handle blocking mail to/from specific incoming and outgoing addresses or domains.

I am wanting to do this same thing, and I have GFI Mail Essentials (I am a new user of the product.) How would you block and outgoing email address? I tried black listing it, but it did not work. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

I have found MailMarshall - , to be a robust product doing all the filters including spam, filteration/blocking of email domains, different policies for groups of users etc as well as integration with antivirus. It can run happily on a P3 PC with 512+ of RAM.
