I have an .exe file for a custom program written several years ago in Foxpro 2.6, but I don't have the original source programs use to create the .exe. Is it possible to de-compile the .exe to get the programs. If so, how do I do that? Thanks.
which has a retail price of $399 listed on their site. That is the only product I am aware of that will do what you need. I don't have any personal experience with it, but anecdotally in the industry, I've heard of some people who have had success with it. Be aware however, that it will likely reconstruct a "Version" of code, that may, or may not, really be something you want to work with. (ie. might not be the prettiest, easiest soluction to follow once you get uncompiled code.)
Good luck!

I have used it. It works fairly well. Certainly better than anything else out there. Depending on how the exe was compiled originally, the biggest problem is that sometimes you lose the original names of variables and procedures and they all get some wierd system name like A1234REQWER14. This tends to make reading the code a bit tough.
Could you decompile a small executable for me? I understand the name changes as you say, but it would be better than nothing. See my post of today (10-29-2001)
