is it possible to create a procedure returns a table with pL/Pgsl

i would like to know if it's possible to create a procedure in pL/pgsql whick returns a table..if yes how to declare the table and retrieve its datas...thanx alot for answering me..

Please elaborate. Are you wanting to return all rows from an existing table, create a new table or a temporary table on the fly?

thanx for replying me...in fact, i want to return just the corresponding rows(the rows which result of my particular query from my database in postgresql) of one column from an existing table.
