We are trying to change how a Inbound Callers ID appears in the Agents phone display.
We will have roughly 1000 location all dialing into the Same Toll free number through Ring down phones on their side. Instead of using Vectors and VRT tables to rout to different VDNS so the VDN name appears in the Agents display is there a way to change the phone number to the Location number (0001 - 1000) or something like that. So store 0001 whose phone number if 123-456-7890 appears 0001

Off the top of my head, if you want to burn station licenses and EC500 licenses, add each store as station 1000-1999 for example and have them all in EC500 station mapping to the store's main number. When they call into the PBX, they'll be recognized as their station number and not an 'external' caller.

Or, 3rd party box/IVR that matches PSTN CLID and sends back to CM while overriding that with your store number.

The official and proper answers are unfortunately almost always cost prohibitive when you have a small use case.

Cruder and possibley more effective,

Enable Special Application SA8886) - ISDN Incoming Calling Party Number Conversion?

and use the new table to manipulate the CLI. You might have to put up with 00000000001 i.e. more trailing zeros than you might want

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

I believe I have a use case for this special app now as well. I've tried using the tandem table, but that doesn't seem to work on ISDN inbound. I enabled it on a TG, inserted an entry in the table, made a test call and my caller ID didn't show any different on my display. However, when I pointed the entry onto a SIP TG that went to my Session Manager the traces showed the inserted digits.

If I enable this special app is it going to automatically alter anything currently coming in or only anything I decide to put in the table?
