Is it possible to block inbound calls domestic US locations and or international location.

Recently several people have repeat calls from the same ANI, and research shows many other numbers getting them.

Curious if there's any way through the CM to handle this for one/multiple locations.

Thank you in advance.

ec500 is the expensive way, due to one ec500 license per number blocked.

If you have EC500 enabled. Check FAQ "Call Blocking using EC500/XMOBILE or off-PBX mapping"
Using a Vector will only block those calls on numbers that use that vector, If they are calling a person desk phone, then the vector method get messy.
The EC500 method, will block the call no matter who they call or what path they come into the system on.

We use to use this on our attendant calls but Avaya disabled the ANI check on attendant vectors somewhere between CM 3.1.2 and 5.2.1. I guess they felt that attendants didn't deserve protection from malicious callers. If your numbers are direct dials you will need to set up a vdn and vector for each called number.

EC500 is the best way to do this as most likely the calls are not being routed directly to a vector, as DavidPayne stated earlier

I'm able to get both ways to work in the test lab.

When I use my cell as the inbound number, I get blocked using the EC-500 method at my primary host location in WI, and my ESS location PA (where I'm at, and they are blocked. However when I try to call another LSP location the call goes through.

Would it make a different since it's one phone system?

That call goes through because you did not make an entry at that location

Worked today on the EC-500 option. Tenant 1 is host site, tenant 2 is ESS, and tenant 3 is one of 6 LSP's.

Created the new COR as described, origination/inward.

Tested EC-500/Xmobile options.
Setup in TN 1, tested. Then TN 2, tested. Then TN 3 using my cell as the offending number.
Results for all three, the calls did not complete to TN 1 or TN 2. Each time. Either wave off to can't be cant be completed.
TN 3 I was able to reach any number I dialed as well as other TN's from my cell.

Removed all of the above.

Off-PBX Station method.
Setup new stations in TN 3. New COR for this station.
Created off-pbx-telephone station-mapping for new extension as described.
Same results, I get blocked to TN 1 and 2, but can complete to TN 3 and other TN's.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Are you using Off-PBX station,, Application EC500? and if so,Have you set the Off-Pbx station, 2nd page , Origination, none, none.?
Also, I would put the 1 in the dial prefix, section, that why it does not matter if the carrier send it or not.

Created station 420-1608 x-ported. Change off-pbx-telephone stations-mapping 420-1608.
Application EC-500, Prefix 1, my cellphone number, ars, Config set 1.
Page 2, Call limit 1, Mapping mode origination, Allowed none, bridged none.

Blocked to TN 1, 2, & 5

Can call TN 6, 7, 8, 9

Tried call limit 1, and call limit 2. Same results.

Checked Tenant pages, and all Tenants have permission to call all needed Tenants.

When you call through to TN6, does it deliver ANI or do you see the extension your cell is setup in off-pbx?

Tracing of OPX calls, and xmobile calls. Both methods produced the same traces it appears.
