Hi all,

We have a customer already runnung IPO R11.1 with ACCS R7.1 for voice only, it is working fine.
Now they want to add Workspaces OVA in order to let agents using web based client instead of Agent Desktop AAD and physical phone.
I believe that he needs to purchase more licenses to get Workspaces working, but my question is :
Does we need to change something on the existing ACCS ?
What are the prerequisites for make Workspaces wokring with ACCS ?

Thank you in advance

You can only add Workspace while upgrading.

I was already running the latest version so I had to downgrade first to be able to add Workspace during the upgrade.

Workspace also only works with LDAP accounts, so if you are currently using local accounts you need to add the server to a domain and configure user accounts in AD.

Hi Janni78

Thanks for your reply, the customer is running ACCS Release 7.1.0.3 without Workspace, so as you mean, in order to enable Workspace, we have to upgrade to the latest release of ACCS, in our case, the latest version is R.7.1.1.0.

So I have to download the the iso of the ACCS release 7.1.1.0 and install it direclty on the existing ACCS 7.1.0.3 and then I can enable Workspace during Ignition Wizard, am I right ?
I have also to install a seperate Workspace OVA.
Do I need to any other partition on the existing ACCS before upgrading ?
What is recommanded, upgrade on the existing ACCS ? or prepare seperate ACCS with fresh install then perform backup/restore ?

I need you suggestion about this upgrade ? and the best way to achieve it with minimum impact.

Thank you so much.

If the ACCS is on VM Ware you install the Workspace OVA first.
If it's an appliance it should install Workspace as a Hyper-V VM during upgrade.

You can either install Workspace during upgrade to 7.1.1.0, or you can downgrade to 7.1.0.2 and then upgrade back to 7.1.0.3.

I didn't get Workspace working in 7.1.0.3 though without getting several patches from Avaya.
